Last week, Adelaide hosted the 2024 Australian Skills Excellence Forum, a three-day event centred on upskilling and career growth, showcasing top talent and emerging stars for the 2024 Regional Competitions.

The MTA was proud to be one of the host locations. We welcomed four MTA apprentices from automotive refinishing and light vehicle trades, along with six former WorldSkills competitors who travelled from interstate. We also had the pleasure of hosting Cameron Baker, South Australian Skills Commissioner at our Training and Employment Centre.

Special thanks to Skills Leads Andrew Cowan and Clint Flower for their support. Andrew introduced new masking techniques, while Clint and MTA Lead Trainer Future Technologies, Steve Richardson, covered EV safety.

The event also featured a Gala Dinner at Adelaide Oval and included valuable seminars focused on personal and professional development.
