South Australia’s Automated External Defibrillators (Public Access) Act 2022 introduces new requirements for the installation and registration of Automated External Defibrillators (AEDs) in certain buildings, facilities, and vehicles.
While some parts of the Act commenced earlier, the obligations for buildings or facilities owned by privately owned businesses will apply from 1 January 2026. This means that owners and occupiers of various businesses in South Australia need to understand the legislation and prepare for these upcoming requirements.
