The MTA recently concluded a rewarding year of supporting and recognising outstanding achievements in the automotive field through various school awards.

At the Clontarf Foundation End of Year Awards, the MTA co-sponsored the Ocean View Colleges Employment Award, presented to Preston Forrester. Preston, who began his journey with the MTA in 2022, demonstrated dedication by transitioning from a school-based apprenticeship to a full-time apprenticeship as a Heavy Commercial Vehicle Technician.

St. Patrick’s Technical College’s 2023 Graduation & Awards Dinner saw the MTA as a key sponsor, with special recognition given to Joshua Candido, winner of the Principal’s Award for Campus Base Student of the Year. Joshua is currently training to become a Mobile Plant Technician, showcasing promising potential in the automotive industry.

Wade Hallett stood out at the NASSA VET Student of the Year Awards, receiving the Industry Area Award sponsored by MTA. Wade’s commitment and success in completing his Certificate II in Automotive Servicing Technology was acknowledged, highlighting his dedication to the automotive field.

The Cardijn College Marcellin Campus Graduation and Awards Night celebrated Liam Toft as the Most Outstanding Student in Automotive. Liam, also awarded Overall Apprentice of the Year 2023, demonstrated exceptional skills and dedication as a Heavy Vehicle Mobile Plant Technician.

Congratulations to all the talented students recognised at these events. The MTA looks forward to continuing to support and celebrate the achievements of future leaders in the automotive industry.
