Meet Codie, a Light Vehicle Apprentice with the MTA, and proud owner of a 1985 TG Gemini. Finished in a deep purple with a cream interior, this classic stands out for all the right reasons.
Under the bonnet sits a 1.6-litre engine paired with a five-speed manual – cammed, fitted with Webers and loaded with performance upgrades. The car’s been lowered all round and rolls on genuine Simmons wheels, giving it a perfect old-school stance.
Codie’s only had the Gemini for about a month, but he’s already a big fan. Apart from fixing up a bit of rust, he’s thinking of upgrading his 1985 TG Gemini with a turbo setup, or maybe even swapping in a Holden 304 5L.
As Codie puts it, the best part of being an apprentice is “gaining more experience and knowledge on cars that I once had no clue about.” Every day brings something new – and that’s exactly what he loves about the job.
