Round two of the Commonwealth Government’s Dealership and Repairer Initiative for Vehicle Electrification Nationally (DRIVEN) Rebate Stream is now open.
Automotive dealerships and repairers are eligible for up to $3,000 per eligible smart EV charger that has been purchased and installed on your site.
Multiple EV chargers can be installed on your site and included in your claim. The maximum rebate amount for multiple chargers per eligible site is up to $21,000.
Along with the second round opening, there has been an update to the eligibility guidelines for the DRIVEN Program. The updated guidelines include:
- The 2025 version broadens eligibility to include portable DC EV chargers.
- Higher rebate caps and supplementary rebates increasing up to $21,000 and must cost at least $2,500 per unit.
- New ineligibility criteria and documentation requirements.
Applications for the second round of the DRIVEN program close 30 April 2026.
