On Saturday, seven talented MTA apprentices showcased their skills at MTA’s Royal Park Training & Employment Centre. This event marked the first heat for a place in the WorldSkills Australia Regional Competition, bringing together the best in the industry.

The task for the apprentices was to prepare a new panel from start to finish. They demonstrated their expertise in various areas, including priming, colour coating, design layout, masking, finishing, polishing, and decal application.

Daniel Dusi, MTA Paint and Panel Team Leader shared, “Our apprentices did an outstanding job. Their dedication, skill and passion for the trade really shone through on Saturday. The MTA is proud to be home to some of the best and brightest apprentices in the industry, and we look forward to seeing our apprentices grow and make their mark in the field.”

Congratulations to Quinn, Paul, Amelia, Isaiah, Cooper, Alex, and Kaitlyn for their participation. The MTA extends its best wishes to all participants as they gear up for the next heat and the Regional Competition finals!

This event is proudly sponsored by Painttech SA, Tonyin Australia, Axalta and Rapid Refinish.
