On Friday 30 January, we welcomed Minister for Education, Training and Skills Blair Boyer to the MTA Training and Employment Centre, accompanied by State Candidate for Port Adelaide, Cheyne Rich and State Candidate for Lee, David Wilkins.

This was an opportunity to show Minister Boyer, Cheyne and David our recently unveiled Automotive Refinishing Centre of Excellence and for them to engage with MTA staff and apprentices.

We also demonstrated the Tesla Full Self-Driving (Supervised) capability as autonomous driving becomes a greater possibility into the future.

We also discussed our priorities for 2026, including the MTA’s State Election Blueprint, and how we can work collaboratively to further advance automotive skills training in South Australia.
