MTA and RAA recently hosted a joint event at the MTA Royal Park site for over 150 guests.
This first-time event was to support our local automotive industry and provide a window into the future.
Attendees received valuable insights on navigating future challenges and opportunities, with presentations from industry experts and senior leaders from both the RAA and MTA. Discussions covered topics such as the use of lithium-ion battery usage and workshop best practices, opportunities for replacement and recycling of Hybrid and HV batteries, AASRA, the importance of Right to Repair for businesses and BYD’s impact on the automotive market’s future direction.
The event included presentations by Matthew Hobbs, CEO of MTAA, Dorothy Nycz, General Manager of Automotive Services & Strategic Projects at RAA, Simon Halford, Manager of Approved Repairer Service and Future Technology at RAA, Emma Sutcliffe, Director of EV Firesafe, Roger Nardi, Executive Officer for AASRA, Luke Varnas, General Manager for BYD in SA, and Jodi Ryan, General Manager for Apprenticeships at MTA.
Following the event, guests were invited to tour our state-of-the-art training facilities. The evening concluded with an interactive session, allowing attendees to ask questions and interact with MTA, RAA representatives, and other exhibitors.
As we reflect on this successful collaboration, the MTA remains dedicated to keeping our members and the industry informed now and into the future as the automotive landscape rapidly evolves.
