The MTA recently participated in the Adelaide Jamboree event, where we highlighted the exciting career prospects in the automotive industry.

At the event, our team, consisting of David Warren, Trisha Voigt, Andrew Mills, and Ben Monro, engaged with MTA members, current apprentices, and former apprentices – some of whom had experience working on the MTA Monaro.

It was excellent to hear from former apprentices. Many approached us to reflect on their time as apprentices and proudly shared their current achievements, including some who are now successfully operating their own businesses!

We had positive interactions with MTA members, like Anthony Norris from Grand Auto Wreckers, who were excited and appreciative of our active involvement in events like the Adelaide Jamboree. Mr. Norris said he was happy to see the MTA participating.

Additionally, we connected with students interested in the automotive field who didn’t have enough information from their schools.

Committed to protecting and growing our sector, we look forward to continuing to help recruit the next generation of skilled technicians. Here are some pictures from that day:
