The North and Yorke Annual General Meeting recently gathered local automotive businesses and featured special guest Member for Frome, Penny Pratt MP.
Attendees received updates on the MTA’s new dual trade apprenticeships, recent facility upgrades, and global trends in the automotive industry. MTA General Counsel Ronan O’Brien also provided insights into the latest workplace relations changes. This included pending changes to legislation affecting their businesses including psychosocial hazards, industrial manslaughter, wage theft, casual employment and the right to disconnect.
Amanda Elefsen from East Farm Machinery Group was elected as the new North and Yorke Zone Chair. Amanda will serve as a key regional representative on the MTA’s Industry Advisory Council, bringing valuable insights and leadership to the local automotive sector.
