The MTA’s Automotive Dealers Association recently hosted the Commissioner of State Taxation, Julie Holmes, together with the Department of Treasury and Finance Manager, Legislative Services, Paul Maxwell for a deep dive discussion about stamp duty and service loan vehicles.

We are pleased that the Commissioner is receptive to improvements to Circular 87, a guidance document for taxation rules around demonstrator vehicles. We hope to see draft changes to incorporate service loan vehicles before Christmas and will keep new car dealer members updated.

Congratulations to Paul Page from Peter Page Automotive for being re-elected Chair and Mark Papillo from North East Mistubishi for being re-elected as Deputy Chair.
