COURSE DETAILS
As modern vehicles become increasingly equipped with ADAS, a thorough understanding of these technologies is essential for ensuring safe, effective, and compliant repairs. These systems—such as autonomous emergency braking, lane-keeping assist, adaptive cruise control, and parking sensors—play a vital role in vehicle safety and driver assistance.
This course is tailored specifically for technicians in the automotive industry who are involved in the repair, estimation, and assessment of accident-damaged vehicles and/ or faulty components. Understanding the function and placement of ADAS components is crucial, particularly after a collision, where even minor impacts can affect sensor alignment and camera calibration.
Recalibration after an accident is not optional—it’s critical. Failure to properly calibrate ADAS systems post-repair may result in system malfunction, inaccurate readings, or complete inoperability of key safety features, putting both the driver and others at risk. Additionally, incorrect calibration can expose repairers to liability and compromise the reputation of the repair business.

COURSE OUTCOME
This is non-accredited training. A statement of attendance will be issued on completion of training. This course is a mix of theory and practical.

The one-day course is delivered at the MTA Training and Employment’s Royal Park Training Centre.
