The Automotive Diagnostics Course is designed to enhance the skills of automotive technicians by developing their knowledge and practical application of modern diagnostic equipment.
COURSE DETAILS
Delivered as a one-day, workshop-focused course, it places strong emphasis on hands-on learning, enabling participants to effectively utilise scan tools, oscilloscopes and diagnostic equipment in real-world scenarios.
This course is aimed at technicians currently employed in the automotive industry who need to understand diagnostic procedures and operational characteristics of the various systems commonly featured in today’s modern light vehicles.

COURSE OUTLINE
- Operate and interpret data from scan tools and oscilloscopes
- Understand the functionality of diagnostic equipment in relation to on-board diagnostic vehicle systems
- Apply structured diagnostic procedures to identify, analyse, and resolve faults
- Develop a deeper understanding of the operational characteristics of modern light vehicle systems.
PREREQUISITES
Participants should be working in the automotive industry and have a good understanding of vehicle technology.
COURSE OUTCOME
This is non-accredited training. A statement of attendance will be issued on completion of training. This course is a mix of theory and practice.

The one-day course is delivered at the MTA Training and Employment’s Royal Park Training Centre.
