This practical workshop provides hands-on training in the fundamental aspects of automotive electrical systems. Whether you’re returning to electrical work after some time, cross-skilling, or wanting to boost diagnostic capabilities, this course delivers practical, relevant learning with immediate on-the-job application.

COURSE OUTLINE

• Revisiting core concepts of voltage, resistance, current, and circuit theory
• Confidently use diagnostic tools such as multi-meters and test lights for real-time problem solving
• Interpreting basic wiring diagrams and applying them to fault-finding scenarios
• Practising proven methods for diagnosing and repairing low-voltage (12V) systems
• Loom repairs, consisting of soldering, crimping, and heat-shrinking repairs
• Learn best practices for electrical testing and safety in modern workshop environments
• Build confidence to tackle increasingly electric vehicle systems

PREREQUISITES

Participants should be working in the automotive industry.

COURSE OUTCOME

This is non-accredited training. A statement of attendance will be issued on completion of training.

DELIVERY MODE

The one-day course is delivered at the MTA Training and Employment’s Royal Park Training Centre.

Course times: 8:30 am to 4:00 pm
