Compassionate, Bereavement and Domestic Violence Leave blog image

Compassionate, bereavement and domestic violence leave are all types of leave that do not accrue, but instead, an employee becomes entitled to leave if they meet the criteria.

Compassionate and bereavement leave

Employees are entitled to two days of compassionate leave each time they meet the criteria. It can be taken as two continuous day or separate days or however agreed to by the employee and employer.

Full-time and part-time employees will receive their base rate of pay for their ordinary hours they would have worked during the leave and casual employees receive unpaid leave.
